Week 15 Day 2

Today we still practice on the description questions to help prepare for our test next week. After all, the test is the semester exam...

1. Mr. Rick came in class late. Though, there were a lot of people who were absent today. And as usual, the class does not have the technology working. Seems like the only classroom that the technology is all broken...

Today we still are going to continue practicing to write the description question for the exam. First, let's review how to do it. Here is the blurry description...

2. The first thing you need to do is to look at the marks of the question. So, let's say "m" is the marks. Your formula would be...

m X 2 - 2 = minutes required to do the question

Now then, the questions that we are going to practice with is going to worth 6 marks. So we will need 10 minutes to answer the question. That's a long time, but you still need to manage your time wisely.

You are going to need to make a quick mind map of what your answer is going to be. It should only take 30 seconds to do. You choose the best two points and when you are done, take a blue pen and draw two lines over it. It is to tell the examiner that is NOT part of your answer.

Then you need to write a descriptor using a point you choose. First, you must repeat the question, and then answer. Then state an argument. Then you must give an conclusion, which now needs a source to support your argument.

To make a source, you need to research a lot. You get it from a book or the internet. You put quotation marks if it is the exact words that the person says. If you don't remember it, but you have the idea, you put the word "that" and do NOT put quotation marks.

If you happen not to be researching and don't know a source from a book or internet, you can state an event that supported the argument.

Then, you do it the same with the second point.

Finally, you need a conclusion. It must be from your point of view.

AND THE PRACTICE BEGINS.

Here is the class listening to Mr. Rick.

But then, we took too long and Mr. Rick dismissed us late. So, Mr. Rick had to pay Rp. 10 000. Mr. Rick expects a pizza for this...

3. What we can improve everyday is to study hard. Especially when a test that is going to be a part of the semester exam is coming up...
