Week 12 Day 2

We have the last person to do the LdL today. Next week there is no one with LdL because we have finished LdL 3.

1. Mr. Rick always come late. He has to pay Rp. 5000 every time.

You will know how busy his Wednesdays are because he prepared a coffee at 7.15 am and then only is able to drink it when it is around 2.15 pm.

Okay! Now to work. Today is the last day for LdL 3, so no teachers for next week, because we don't have a fifth group member, while some other groups do. We have to wait patiently. And the good thing is, our class doesn't have a group with five members! Mr. Rick reads the teachers for today. Then... drum rolls for one of our group members who is going to teach today. It's just, funny.

Here is Mr. Rick preparing the PowerPoint. He is going to teach the topic about "Did Napoleon Betray the Revolution?"

Here is Mr. Rick teaching the topic...

2.

Napoleon is smart and a great tactician, but he is ruthless. And he ruled France for 15 years, longer than anyone who ruled, since the King.

We have a review. Left Wing are the radicals, and the Right Wing are the conservatives. The Right Wing wants to use the old way of doing things, but the left wing still wants to continue the Republic, which is the hard way. When France goes from a monarch into a republic, the situation is difficult and people don't know what to do and how to act. They need a strong leader to rule and settle things down.

Appeasement is not a good way to rule. As yesterday said, (But I didn't write it because it is wrong) you can fool all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but not all of the people all of the time. Napoleon said, "I intend to keep the Revolution's useful changes, but not to abandon the good institutions it destroyed."

The leaders of the army are the nobles and the aristocrats, who were the rich people. During the Revolution, the Revolutionaries killed the aristocrats, so... the military has no leader, and the army is threatened! And the revolution is in need of the army, so it is quite dumb to kill the aristocrats...

To stop the bad way of the government, there are Émigrés (people who are going out of the country) looking for help in other countries. Germany is a friend of Austria, and Austria is fighting France, so these people ask help from Germany. Then, pretends to support the Revolution, they take over the country, and it is Coup d'état.

3. Now it is the time to teach! Here is Mr. Rick preparing.

And here is the teacher today who gets the drum rolls. (Claps! Don't get surprised please)

And Mr. Rick grading the teacher...

(I'm doing this for the blog portfolio, not for other purposes. OKAY???)

After teaching, Mr. Rick asks us to do a short class activity. We have to find Comparative evidence for how Napoleon ruled France. It means, the difference between the ruling before and during Napoleon. We have to split the topics into research by each team member. The topics are...

-Government
-Individual Rights
-Education
-The Church
-Social Classes

We write it in a Google Document like so.

This is the class and their groups discussing the work.

But the time is limited, so we have to do the rest for Homework. So... no teaching for tomorrow. Hopefully we'll do something, like Battlefield Academy.

4. What we can improve everyday is to ask good BHQs to the teacher. The teacher will have more teaching material, and will also challenge the teacher to think more deeply.
